Crown Point

  • Crown Point Library – The city’s three-story, 46,750 square foot public library opened in 2012.

Lowell

  • Buckley Homestead – This county park is a living history farm, where visitors can enjoy seasonal tours of an 1850s pioneer garden, a one-room schoolhouse, and many of the original buildings of the Buckley family’s farm as they appeared in 1910.
  • Cobe Cup Car Cruise – The 1909 Cobe Trophy Race, a 395-mile car race that passed through Lowell, was a predecessor of the Indianapolis 500. Residents have commemorated the race for over 100 years with an annual car cruise and festival.
  • Downtown Shopping – Most of the locally-owned shops and restaurants along Lowell’s main street are still housed in the town’s original buildings (circa the 1890s), making for a unique experience and one-of-a-kind products.

  • Albanese Candy Factory – Made famous by their unique gummies, this sweet tourist attraction features behind the scenes tours and a chocolate waterfall.
  • Deep River Waterpark – The region’s only waterpark, Deep River also offers an ice rink in the winter months.

Valparaiso

  • Popcorn Festival – Held annually just after Labor Day, the Popcorn Festival honors Valparaiso resident and popcorn mogul Orville Redenbacher with a popcorn parade, beer garden, live music, vendors, food and crafts.
